Plainfield's #1 Tailor Tee
Ed Gein, also known as the Butcher of Plainfield, was a convicted murderer and body snatcher. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the murder of two women, and he was suspected in several other disappearances. Gein exhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin. He was institutionalized to the Mendota Health Institute in Madison, Wisconsin from 1957 until his death in 1984.
